Premelt is a multipurpose product that can be used as a pre-wetting agent, anti-icer, and a deicer.
This product has a very low freezing point (-76 F), making it effective to use as a pre-wetter for road salt and other solid deicers since it significantly improves the performance of solids and does not clog spray nozzles. When using Premelt as an anti-icer it creates a high traction film form to prevent adhesion of ice and snow, which is then mechanically removed. This product can also be used as a deicer when applied on top of snow and ice. Experience suggests the fluid works best as a deicer if applied in narrow bands.
